Th- That's so... amazing. I don't even have words to describe it.
The highlights are simply the unshaded areas of white paper showing through. I used a thin pencil like eraser to draw some hair strands against the background. But most of the highlights are just unpenciled areas of paper.
nice art work ^___^
can you tell me how you did the white hairs?
The hairs that are in the light
I drew her on smooth white card. For her hair.. First I used a Staedtler 7B to draw the medium areas and the basic detail. Then I used an 8B (Staedtler brand because it is blacker than any other pencil) to do the darkest areas. After that I used 2Bs and 4Bs to do the lighter areas leaving the white areas white of course, then going over the top with an 8B to recover any details lost. The background behind her was medium gray which made the white areas of the hair stand out well. Finally I used an eraser pen to draw in some fine hairs against the background. The important thing is to take your time and not rush it. At first it can be scary, but after a while you get into the flow and it becomes easier and more intuitive.
Thanks again, and I hope that helps
